Our subsidiary Ueda Metal Works Co., Ltd. (Takaoka) has renewed its website and launched it at a new address. Following Hayahoshiseiko Co., Ltd., we once again created the site in-house. Here are some highlights.
Photographs of the foundry take center stage
Large photographs from the foundry floor, a background the color of Japanese washi paper and vertical headings give the site the calm feel of a foundry founded in 1929. The top page opens with an introductory video that follows the work from design to finished product.
From a single drawing to patterns, casting and machining
The Capabilities page walks through 12 steps, from design to delivery, with a 3D figure that changes shape as the work progresses. Making the pattern, building the sand mold, pouring the molten metal and machining the casting on a lathe: the whole in-house process comes across at a glance. Castings too large for Ueda Metal Works to pour are handled by us through our suppliers in Japan and overseas. Feel free to contact us with just a drawing.
Product examples by material
On the Products & Materials page, 15 product examples, from copper alloy bushings to cast iron gearboxes, can be filtered by material. The page opens with a CG image based on the shapes and materials of these examples.
A new page introducing Takaoka, the town of casting where the factories are located, has also been added (in Japanese), and the main pages are available in English. We hope you will take a look.
The website has also moved to a new address. The website at the previous address (uedametal.co.jp) will be removed by the end of this year.
